summer-holiday

It was agreed at the last meeting that we would all practice the following songs for next time

Eight Days a Week!

Camera phone footage of the Hull Ukulele Group practicing ‘Eight Days a Week’ at our last meeting.
I might be a bit biased, but I think it sounds ace. Especially since we’d only played it once before at the previous meeting, and up until 3 months ago most of the people in the room had never even picked up a uke before!!

You make me very proud, guys :D

H.U.G. Rock the Boat!

On Saturday night 11 members of the Hull Ukulele Group played their first gig on top of a canal boat moored on Hull Marina. Driven on by excitment, empty stomachs, and too much booze, we performed various songs from the songbook including I walk the Line, Just cant get enough, The Bucket, Eight days a week, and Im the urban spaceman. Some of of it sounded good, while other bits sounded quite ropey. But all in all it didnt really matter, because the audience enjoyed it, and more inportantly, WE enjoyed it :D
